FFVII Ever Crisis Tifa and Aerith FFXIII Lightning Weapons Shared
FFVII Ever Crisis Tifa and Aerith FFXIII Lightning Weapons Shared As part of the Final Fantasy series crossover in FFVII Ever Crisis, we already knew Tifa and Aerith would get outfits based on Lightning’s appearance in the original FFXIII . Now we know exactly what the two weapons will look like as well. They’ll both debut in-game via the gacha at 7pm PT/10pm ET on October 29, 2025. This comes after we got a closer look at the event storyline and costumes for both characters in a trailer last week . For this crossover, Tifa gets Lightning’s Gloves and Aerith can wield Lightning’s Rod. The former is a more offensive weapon, while the latter is designed to support the team. We don’t know every ability they possess just yet. But Lightning’s Gloves come with the Army of Strikes Ice-based C Ability that hits one foe, inflicting Ice Resist Down and 1,340% Magic Ice Damage to an opponent. It can also give her the Exploit Weakness buff if her health is over 70%. Lightning’s Rod’s Enhancing Rose will heal allies for up to 7% of healing potency and gives every ally a Magical Damage bonus. It also includes a buff if her health is over 70%, and though that applies to all allies’ PDEF instead of just Aerith’s. The first time you use that C Ability, it also boosts Aerith’s Command Gauge.  Here are the two infographic images showing what the Aerith and Tifa Lightning weapons based on FFXIII look like in FFVII Ever Crisis: Images via Square Enix While these won’t be available until later tonight, there is a new Angeal Halloween 2025 weapon and outfit available. The Ghost Ensis sword with the Rock Swarm C Ability is in the gacha until November 5, 2025. There’s also a Ghost Robe gear costume for him with a Ghostly Spirit that increases his PDEF and MDEF and Boost Earth Potency (All Allies) that increases everyone’s Earth damage R Abilities. Here’s the trailer for that: https://twitter.com/FFVII_EC_EN/status/1981601548443795963 Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis  is available for PCs and mobile devices,  Final Fantasy XIII  is on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, and the  FFXIII  crossover comes to the  FFVII  spin-off on October 29, 2025.  The post FFVII Ever Crisis Tifa and Aerith FFXIII Lightning Weapons Shared appeared first on Siliconera .

Cyrene Moveset Detailed Ahead of Honkai: Star Rail Debut
Cyrene Moveset Detailed Ahead of Honkai: Star Rail Debut HoYoVerse shared details about how the moveset for Cyrene will work on HoYoLab and released a new “Keeping Up with Star Rail” trailer that shows gameplay footage of each of those attacks. Specifically, it shows how her unique traits allow her to increase everyone’s damage just for being on the team on the field and that her Verse Vow Ultimate both summons a Memosprite and lets every other ally use their Ultimates. While Cyrene will work with everyone in Honkai: Star Rail and her moveset features abilities and attacks to help everyone, there are special buffs for other Chrysos Heir characters. Her Memosprite’s This Ode, to All Lives will buff people who are part of that group. But if someone isn’t, it just buffs their DMG. Due to the nature of her, due to her buffs and possible zone, there are two versions of her base attack. One is Lo, Hope Takes Flight that deals Ice damage to one enemy and gives her a Recollection point. If it’s enhanced to the basic attack To Love and Tomorrow, she deals Ice damage to one foe first, then to all enemies, and restores Recollection points, but won’t recharge a Skill Point when used.  Her skill is the supportive one. It is called Bloom, Elysium of Beyond. When used, there’s a zone around everyone that increases the amount of damage they do and does “1 additional instance of True damage.” It is only available for a set number of turns and while Cyrene is around.  Cyrene’s Ultimate is Verse Vow. Once used, her basic attack becomes To Love and Tomorrow for a limited time. Her Memosprite appears, and both her and its critical rate will be higher. Her zone returns to increase everyone’s damage and offer True damage. Everyone else’s Ultimate will also refill and be ready to use. However, due to the nature of it, it can only be used once per battle. Here’s the “Keeping Up with Star Rail - Cyrene: A Blank Verse for the Future” Honkai: Star Rail trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X68ZVWb0G4s Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Cyrene banner will arrive on November 5, 2025 and last until December 16, 2025 . Review: Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Renews the Legend
Review: Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Renews the Legend I was somewhat surprised when Square Enix announced it would give Dragon Quest III the HD-2D Remake treatment before the first two games. In a series where connections between installments are often loose at best, the first three entries have a surprisingly tightly-woven narrative. Rereleasing them out of order felt rather strange, even if it fit the in-game chronology. Aside from story concerns, the first two Dragon Quest games are significantly simpler affairs than the third. Would people really be satisfied going back to Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake after experiencing the third? Part of my assumption rested on the idea that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake would handle things in a similar manner as the third. While that game featured a number of small additions, it mostly stuck to the proverbial script. Had Square Enix done the same with the first two, I'm not sure how I would be feeling about the whole thing. That's not what the company did, however. No, it took the word "remake" very seriously with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake . Even if you've played these games, you haven't played these versions. Screenshot by Siliconera Square Enix gave the two games a similar treatment to Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake in terms of presentation. The lovely HD-2D graphics, the sumptuous symphonic soundtracks, hefty voice acting, and easy-to-use interface with plenty of quality of life features buff the appeal of these classics. The maps have new secret spots and stashes to seek out, giving you an extra incentive to explore them fully. You can choose from a selection of difficulty settings, and there are a number of assists you can make use of should you so desire. This is more or less what you would expect from this release if you played Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake , though. When you start the game up, you can choose which of the two you want to play. I would advise starting with the first, but if you want to jump ahead you can do so. Should you begin with the original game, it doesn't take long for it to show off its differences from previous releases. There are new characters and sub-quests, and the overall progression is more linear thanks to some adjustments to the world map. It goes a lot easier on the player initially, but heats up quite a bit more in the long run. There are tons of monsters in the game that were not there originally, and you'll have to deal with groups of them despite being a party of one. Luckily, you get a lot of new gear, abilities, and magic to help even the odds. Screenshot by Siliconera The second game feels even further expanded, particularly with regards to its story. There's even an entirely new party member who largely manages to avoid feeling too shoehorned-in. Early though Dragon Quest II may have been in the history of the genre, it packs a lot more meat on its bones than the first game. This remake takes full advantage of that, and the results are impressive. It's like every bit of terse storytelling from the original work has been fully fleshed out, and all of the implied pathos is now quite explicit. I don't think anyone would confuse this remake of Dragon Quest II for a modern RPG, but you'd be hard-pressed to finger this as being based on a 1987 game if you didn't already know. On top of that, Square Enix has honored its intention to make the new release order work in a narrative sense. Dragon Quest III served as the original climax of the trilogy, with an exciting conclusion that tied the three games together. It's now Dragon Quest II 's job to see the trilogy's story off, and things have been reworked to make it the grand conclusion it needs to be. Some of the original identity of the game is lost in that process, but I think it makes sense for this project. In a lot of ways, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is an ideal outcome for a remake. The original games are still out there, but this release offers such different takes on both that it's more than worthy to stand alongside them. Screenshot by Siliconera Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is available for Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam . Stellaron Hunters Characters Return in Honkai: Star Rail Trailer
Stellaron Hunters Characters Return in Honkai: Star Rail Trailer HoYoVerse brought back the Stellaron Hunters to show what those characters were up to during the Amphoreus saga in Honkai: Star Rail . The new Myriad Celestia animated trailer looks at members of that team to show what they were up to following events on Penacony and while the Astral Express team was busy dealing with the new crisis. This also marks the first time we’ve seen Elio in a while, as he appears in his cat form alongside Kafka in this new Honkai: Star Rail footage. Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for the Amphoreus and Penacony Honkai: Star Rail storyline in the new Stellaron Hunters Myriad Celestia trailer. This latest video begins with an update on what happened after the events of Penacony and the toll that took on the Stellaron Hunters. Firefly, aka S.A.M., is in a sort of status, with Silver Wolf overlooking her care and saying she did all she could. Kafka and Elio are sitting and watching Amphoreus, showing that team was nearby during the latest Honkai: Star Rail events. Kafka then goes over possible futures that hint at what could happen on Amphoreus based on the Trailblazer and Cyrene’s choices and what might happen to the universe as a whole depending on where the Astral Express goes next. She then points out that they are down to two possible endings for Amphoreus, highlighting that there could be a huge cost either way. That video then closes with Kafka, Silver Wolf, Blade, and Elios being shown, as well as a hint that we’ll see that crew meet the Astral Express folks in 4.0. Here’s the full “Myriad Celestia - Exotale: Scene 8" Honkai: Star Rail trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3bRer52asE Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and this latest trailer hints we’ll see the Stellaron Hunters characters return to the story after the Amphoreus storyline ends.
